MANIBUS® Substrates 2025

DIGITAL EXHIBITION di vito difilippo

/ Programma / Substrates 2025

The current edition, MANIBUS® – International Award is distinguished by the launch of “Substrates – Alta Murgia” a new format that includes innovative initiatives like the street art circuit of artist Vito Difilippo. This project explores a form of contemporary art interwoven with seemingly remote places that are, in fact, spaces close to the artist’s heart, bringing new life to an environmental heritage that is already rich by nature. The contribution made by artist Vito Difilippo, with “Substrates – Alta Murgia”, is emblematic of how art can engage with and take shape in the unique landscape and cultural context of Alta Murgia. Through a widespread circuit of works created on bridges, abandoned old walls and objects discarded in the countryside, Difilippo builds a path of artistic research that is both a social exegesis and a stolen, introspective snapshot of his inner self. His work, which can be seen on the MANIBUS website, extends an invitation to explore and reflect on the relationship between humankind and the environment. Vito Difilippo’s decision to use things that have been abandoned and waste materials as a medium for his works is particularly significant. It places emphasis on the themes of reclamation and sustainability, transforming what has been discarded into art. His works not only celebrate the persuasion of colours but also tell stories of change and rebirth, elements deeply rooted in his innermost essence and in the identity of the Apulia region.

Nicola Miulli – Curator and Artistic Director of the exhibition.
