Spatial waves by Pamela Campagna – From 14/11 to 19/12 2026. Manibus Capsule takes shape within the urban fabric of Bari, unfolding across Palazzo Vis Urban Suites and Palazzo Accolti Gil. Two distinct buildings are brought together for the occasion by an exhibition trail that invites us to see the city as an organism shaped by memories, relationships and transformations. The exhibition does not simply occupy these buildings: it enters into dialogue with them, interpreting their surfaces and reactivating their capacity to host experiences. Pamela Campagna’s mural works emerge from a patient, repeated manual gesture. Iron wires covered in wool or cotton interweave through space, giving form to enlarged objects, faces and familiar shapes. These suspended, transparent presences are drawings freed from the page, inhabiting the wall without being confined to it. Line becomes matter; emptiness becomes part of the work. As the viewer’s gaze shifts, new connections, overlaps and depths come into view. The artist’s practice takes on particular significance in the two palazzi. Their architecture preserves traces of those who have passed through them; in the same way, Campagna’s works make bonds, memories and inner movements visible. The thread evokes the fabric of the city: a network of routes that meet, diverge and become interwoven once more. The walls are therefore not mere supports, but thresholds between eras, experiences and ways of seeing. The permeable nature of the installations also allows the surroundings to remain visible through them. Architectural features become part of the composition, while light and shadow cast shifting images across the surfaces. At Palazzo Vis Urban Suites and Palazzo Accolti Gil, each work thus takes on a unique configuration, shaped by its relationship with the setting and by the viewer’s point of view. The exhibition trail offers no single perspective: it asks visitors to move, draw closer, change position and recognise how every reality depends on the angle from which it is viewed. In this exhibition spread across the city, the distance between the space of art and everyday life grows smaller. Manibus Capsule affirms the need for contemporary art to make itself available: not simplified, but open to encounter; not separated from life, but present in places people pass through every day. Engagement becomes a spontaneous act of attentiveness, extending also to those who do not usually visit exhibition spaces but approach everyday life with curiosity. Above all, that which is available is that which makes room. Pamela Campagna’s works do not impose a closed narrative: through their lightness, they invite each person to form their own associations. Familiar shapes surface as images from memory, while their altered scale frees objects from habit and restores their capacity to surprise. The recognisable becomes unexpected; what once seemed marginal takes on a presence of its own. Between the rooms of the two palazzi, the thread becomes a metaphor for shared experience. It connects the artist’s hand with the visitor’s gaze, matter with memory, intimacy with the city. Manibus Capsule proposes an art that can inhabit places without closing them off, transform them without erasing their identity, and offer itself as an encounter: fragile only in appearance, open to the many paths through which the present continues to take shape.
