The Biography
Pamela Campagna is a self-taught artist and craftswoman with a background in Economics and a Master’s degree in Cultural Heritage Management. She has collaborated with international cultural organizations including Franklin Furnace in New York, Fondazione Pistoletto in Biella, and Esterni in Milan. In 2006, she co-founded L-ABLE in Seville, an itinerant art and design studio producing campaigns and publications addressing cultural and social issues.

In 2011, she returned to Bari and founded her own ATELIER, dedicated to fiber art. Her artistic research begins with the study and experimentation of traditional textile techniques, approached not as forms to be preserved, but as starting points for new artistic possibilities. By exploring their structures, gestures, and construction methods, she deconstructs and reinterprets inherited practices, pushing them beyond their conventional functions.

Through fibers, threads, and unconventional materials, she transforms textile processes into tools for drawing, constructing, and shaping space. Her work moves between textile art, drawing, and sculpture, investigating the relationships between material, tension, light, and perception. In late 2025, she developed FIBERscape, the latest evolution of her research, exploring the sculptural and spatial potential of textile materials through three-dimensional structures.

Her works are permanently exhibited at Nike Worldwide Headquarters in Beaverton, Nike Brazil in São Paulo, Poste Italiane in Rome, and the Mark Rothko Art Center in Daugavpils, Latvia. She has exhibited at Les Arts Décoratifs in Paris, Triennale di Milano, Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, Galleria Civica di Modena, CaS – Centro de las Artes de Sevilla, and the National Museum of La Paz. Her work has also featured in international events including 100% Design in Tokyo and Seoul, BICeBé in Bolivia, Lahti Poster Biennale in Finland, and Golden Bee in Moscow.
